OK, so a quick update on Monkey boy, he is doing so many new things!
He’s crawling…like on his hands and knees on the FLOOR! It’s amazingly cute. He actually looks a bit like a seal, lol.
He will push himself to standing rather than scooting to something and pulling up on it.
He is making a TON of new sounds. He is using both consonents and vowel sounds (for the longest time he only used vowels.)
Monkey signed “banana” and made a sound like “nana” today! He’s getting so very close!
Also tonight we went on our walk to the pond in Belmont and back. Monkey had a rough walk, he kept tripping. He skinned one of his knees so when we got back I tossed him in the tub so it could soak. When he was done and diapered, I started looking for a bandaid big enough for it. While I was looking in the box, the little booger threw my shoes in the TUB, which was still full of water. Gah! I scolded him for it and he pouted for 15 minutes. Now I feel like a heel for correcting him, sheesh.
This year, especially these last weeks, has been really hard. We’ve been so worried about Monkey…he was late walking and he’s still not talking. We finally have an answer to why he has the troubles he has and it really threw us for a loop. Hearing that he has Fragile X seemed like the end of the world to me…Duhdee did a lot better.
What hasn’t changed though is that we still want the very best for you, my love. We’re going to be here for you no matter what. You are the biggest blessing we’ve ever been given and we love you VERY much.
